세계적인 현상인 노령인구의 증가에 대한 시설과 제품들이 증가하고 있는 요즘. 노인 인구의 증가로 인한 취약계층 어르신들 또한 늘어나고 있는 실정이다. 요양병원에서 장기 입원자들이나 집에서 케어하는 이들에게 특히나 욕창이 문제가 되는데, 이에 대한 대안이 절실히 필요한 이때 브리스텍 (대표 김경범)은 어르신들을 위한 스마트 헬스케어 제품군을 출시했다. 브리스텍에서는 스마트 헬스케어 기술이 접목된 독거노인 서비스 기반 AI 욕창 관리기를 선보여 노인 욕창을 안전하고 신뢰성 있게 관리할 수 있는 하이테크 기술을 도입하여 욕창 환자 예방을 위한 혁신적인 제품 개발에 성공했다.
침대에 누워있는 시간이 많은 노약자와 환자들을 위한 욕창 관리 기구인 BedsoreM(욕창예방매트)를 개발하여 노령화 인구가 겪어야 하는 어려움을 감소시키며 최적화된 시스템으로 안정적이고 편리하게 관리할 수 있다. 현재 과도한 습기에 의한 피부 손상이 욕창 발생에 미치는 영향에 대한 학계 및 정부의 관심이 고조됨에 따라 의료현장에서의 실변과 실금으로 인한 회음부 피부 손상 예방 및 최소화를 위한 피부 관리의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 이 시점에서 브리스텍의 제품이 출시된 것은 상당히 고무적인 일로 늘어나는 노령화 인구의 욕창 방지에 도움을 주고 있다.
제4차 산업혁명 시대에 주류를 이루는 ICT시스템을 접목하여 스마트 의료기기를 도입한 이 제품은 기존 욕창 관리에서 나타난 문제점을 보완하여 ICT기술력을 접목해 욕창 예방 시스템을 도입, 원활한 혈액순환과 가정 내에서도 더욱 안전하고 편안하게 몸 상태를 확인하고 관리할 수 있다. 행동 패턴 분석용 카메라를 내장하여 위험신호, 자세파악, 모션인식 기능이 가능하다. AI기술을 적용하여 욕창 환자의 누워있는 자세를 추적, 환자의 욕창이 발생될 수 있는 온, 습도 환경을 조성하지 않도록 빠르고 정확하게 측정 분석하여 그라핀과 압전 팬으로 정상적인 환경을 만든다.
욕창 관련 이상 질환 치료 방향과 환자의 맞춤 피부 노화 관리 및 수면 자세 데이터를 제공할 수 있도록 개발되었다. 또한 부드러운 통풍 소재로 마감 처리해 사용감도 좋아 고객들의 만족도가 높으며, 무연 압전 기술력을 탑재한 무소음 팬이 가동하여 소음없이 사용 가능하며 전자파 없는 히팅 기능으로 사용자가 원하는 온도로 조절가능하다.
김 대표는 “한국의 욕창 문제를 해결하는 데 일조하게 되어 큰 보람을 느끼며 이 일을 시작할 때 욕창에 대한 용어나 기술 이름도 잘 모르는 등 정보가 전무한 상태였으나 우리 제품으로 인해 중기부, 지자체, 각종 언론, 미국CES 등에서 관심을 가지게 된 계기를 만들게 되어 보람되다”고 이야기했다. 김 대표는 이 제품으로 욕창관련특허 6건, 디자인 및 상표권 관련 3건의 특허를 보유했다. 내년 2023 CES를 참가할 계획을 가지고 있는 김 대표는 해외 바이어들이 관심을 많이 가지고 있는 만큼 해외 진출에 대한 구체적인 청사진을 그리고 있다. 또한 22년11월에 욕창예방효과 인증과 공동연구개발하고자 ‘병원상처장루실금간호사회’와 MOU 체결하는 성과도 이루었다.

Q1 : 대표님께서는 제품 개발할 때 기존 제품의 단점을 보완하고 최신 기술력을 도입하여 제품을 만들었다고 들었습니다.
A1 : 욕창 매트는 기존의 공기압 방식에서 온도, 습도가 케어되는 딥러닝 기술이 접목된 욕창 예방 매트를 개발했습니다. 사실 개개인마다 상태나 환경이 다 다르기 때문에 모든 상황을 대비한 제품은 전세계에서 전무한 상태지요. 하지만 우리 회사는 딥러닝 스케레톤 기술이 접목된 기술력을 도입하여 최대한 많은 경우의 수를 가진 환자들이 온전히 케어 받을 수 있게끔 제품을 만들어 좋은 반응을 얻고 있습니다.

Recently, facilities and products have significantly increased following the growth of the elderly population, which is a global phenomenon. Given the increase of the elderly population, the number of elderly people among the vulnerable classes has also increased. Bedsores are a particular problem for the long-term inpatients at nursing hospitals or those who care for them at home. At a time when an alternative is desperately needed, BLISSTECH (Kim Gyeong-Beom, CEO) has launched a smart healthcare product line for the elderly. BLISSTECH successfully developed the innovative products for the prevention of bedsores by introducing high-tech technologies that can safely and reliably manage bedsores among the elderly by introducing the AI bedsores management device based on the services for the elderly living alone with smart healthcare technologies.
By developing BedsoreM (bedsore prevention mat), a bedsore management device for the elderly and the patients who spend much time lying in bed, it reduces the difficulties faced by the aging population and enables the stable and convenient management with an optimized system. Currently, as the academic and government interest in the effects of excessive moisture-induced skin damages on the bedsores has grown, the importance of skin care for preventing and minimizing skin damages in the perineal region caused by the incontinence has been stressed in the medical field. The launch of BLISSTECH’s product at this point is quite encouraging, which is helping to prevent bedsores among the aging population.
Introducing a smart medical device by grafting the ICT system that forms the mainstream in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, this product supplements the problems of the existing bedsore management, and introduced a bedsore prevention system by grafting the ICT technology to ensure the smooth blood circulation and allows for one to check and manage one’s physical conditions even at home more safely and comfortably. It has a built-in camera for the behavioral pattern analysis, and hence, it is possible to detect danger signals, identify postures, and recognize motions. By applying the AI technology, it tracks the lying posture of the bedsore patients and promptly and accurately measures and analyzes it so as not to create a temperature and humidity environment which might cause the patient’s bedsore to occur, thereby creating a normal environment with graphene and a piezoelectric fan.
It was developed to provide the treatment directions for the bedsore related abnormalities, customized skin aging management and sleep posture data for the patients. Furthermore, it is finished with a soft ventilation material, and hence, it is easy to use, and naturally, the customers are satisfied with it. A silent fan equipped with the lead-free piezoelectric technology operates without noise, and the users can adjust the temperature to the desired temperature with the electromagnetic wave-free heating function.
Kim said, “We feel very privileged to be making our part of the contribution to solving the bedsore problem in Korea. When We started this work, there was no information, such as not knowing the term or technical name for the bedsore, yet it is rewarding to create an opportunity for the interest held by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, local governments, various media, and CES of the United States because of our product.” Kim holds 6 patents related to the bedsore and 3 patents related to the design and trademark rights. Planning to participate in the 2023 CES next year, Kim is creating a detailed blueprint for the overseas expansion as foreign buyers are interested. Furthermore, in November 2022, an MOU was executed with the ‘Korean association of wound ostomy continence nurses’ to certify the effectiveness of the bedsore prevention and conduct joint research and development.
<Interview with Kim Gyeong-Beom, CEO, BLISSTECH>
Q1: I have heard that you have made the product by supplementing the shortcomings of the existing product and by introducing the latest technology when developing it.
A1: The bedsore prevention mat was developed with deep learning technology that takes care of temperature and humidity in the conventional air pressure method. In fact, because each individual’s conditions or environment may vary, there is no product in the world that can prepare for every situation. However, our company has enjoyed taking positive response by introducing a technology that incorporates the deep learning skeleton technology to create a product to ensure that the patients with as many cases as possible can be fully cared for.
Q2: Please describe the BLISSTECH product in a single word.
A2: It may be said that it is a leader of the elderly welfare care that incorporates the ICT technology.
Q3: BLISSTECH has won many awards for developing the smart bedsore prevention mat.
A3: On top of being selected as a company of excellence for the pre-startup package, we have won various awards such as excellent mid-term evaluation by the KOSME, the Minister of Education Award, and the CES Innovation Award for 2022 and 2023 consecutively. Furthermore, 6 patent applications and trademark design registrations have been completed. BLISSTECH is preparing clinical trials for the future medical device registration. Furthermore, we are in the process of executing an MOU to build deep learning for the clinical trials and skeleton behavior analysis in connection with some of the leading hospitals in Korea.
